Nick Who?

Friday night...Miller Park....Brewers leading....Trevor Hoffman vs Nick Stavinoha...2 strikes....who wins? Well, the Cardinals of course. Stavinoha, with only 31 career hits and making his plate appearance of the season takes the all-time saves leader yard and gives the Cardinals the win. Nothing is for sure in major league baseball. Even the Brewers rockin the old 70's pinstripes and scrambled egg caps couldnt put it away.

Blake Geoffrion wins the Hobey Baker Award and will lead the Badgers into the national championship game against Boston College. He's the first Badger to ever win the award.

Good Luck to Dan Hein who announced his retirement yesterday after 33 years as Wausau West wrestling coach. I don't know Dan but he seems to be one of those guys who puts everything into the program and the large group of West wrestlers who made it to state under his tutleage know what he meant to that team.

Songs of the Day  (from my I=-pod)

Fadeaway-Bodeans (1986) the Milwaukee band made it's bones in the 80's but have been still working up til today. They just released a new cd last week.

Fairytale-Pointer Sisters (1975) of course...why not...a quartet of sisters from the projects win a Grammy for a country song that they wrote. It was hard to pigeonhole this group...they could sing a little bit of everything.
