The future of technology lies with Google! Google's Google Glass promo is out which is the common person's first step into augmented reality. Soldiers and pilots have had "heads up display" for years, but now everyday folk like us will be able to experience it through Google Glass. This will allow us to take a picture or video or even start a google plus hangout by shouting an order to your visor. 

Like I said, this is the first step into augmented reality. There is another company working on similar technology only instead of wearing a visor it comes in a contact so it is much more discrete. Don't expect to see the contact version on the market any day soon though.

The Google Glass unit will be available in late 2014 to those who pre-order and in stores in 2015. The lofty price tag though will probably make it inaccessible to many of us, but the idea sure is cool!
