I saw caviar nails on Pintrest and became obsessed! Unfortunately caviar nail polish sets cost $25! I decided that was too rich for my blood so set out on a mission to do it for $10.
All you need is nail polish, in honor of breast cancer awareness month I chose Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Nailwear Pro Pink Power that I got for $2.99

You will also need glass microbeads. I got a set of 6 different colors from Michaels craft store for $6.99. You should pick a bead color in the same hue as your nail polish.

Put two coats of polish on your nails. Put a third coat on one nail at a time and sprinkle microbeads over wet polish. You'll need a dish to catch the beads. I used a square tupperware dish so it would be easier to pour the leftovers back into the bottle. Once all nails are coated with the beads put a coat of clear polish over the top to lock the beads.

Pretty cool look. I can't wait to see how long it lasts and how hard it is to get off.
Anyone else ever done caviar nails?

After night one I learned some things about caviar nails.
- Don't do dishes. Soaking your hands in water loosens the beads.
- Don't give your baby a bath. Same problem as above.
- Just an observation you probably don't want to make hamburgers, meatloaf, or bread, anything that you make with your hands because the beads could fall off into the food.
- Don't clean anything
My left hand still looks good, but my right hand has a lot of bare spots. So my conclusion is that this is an awesome look for a night out, but certainly not a longterm manicure. I would've been really upset if I would've paid $25 for a set that only includes one polish color and one bead color. Instead I can use any of my own polishes and one of the six bead colors I got for only $6.99.
