We celebrated Mia's 1st birthday yesterday. My favorite part of a 1st birthday is baby eating cake. Mia was so dainty about it. She only ate the frosting and only off one side of the cake. She barely messed it up at all.

We played a couple fun games: How well do you know Mia & Draw a picture of Mia by placing a piece of paper on top of your head. Then we opened presents and then ate cake.

I made this photo banner with pictures from Newborn (the very first pic we took of her while I was still on the operating table) each month through 11 months.

On the tables I used pictures of Mia newborn, 3 months, 6 months and 9 months as center pieces along with balloon bouquets. We had a photo spot set up along the wall and asked that all guests take a picture with or without Mia for their Thank You cards. I used an app on my android phone to send thank you post cards then using the pictures. They cost $1.49 each that includes shipping and you can put a short personal message on each post card. I will also use these pictures as a photo guest book.
