As a mom you often feel like you're losing control. You lose your comfy living room to baby toys, your office is now the playroom (or the baby changing/nap room in my case), your bath tub is over flowing with bath toys instead of bath salts and candles, and your counters are covered in bottle warmers, sanitizers, bottles, breastmilk storage bags, formula, teething rings, pacifiers and anything else baby may need.
Besides losing your home to your kids, you also lose your ability to remember stuff. You have so many things on your mind all the time you just can't remember everything! In fact most of the time it feels like you can't remember anything. I lose my keys, my cell phone, my shoes, and most recently a pair of nylons that I need tonight! Notice it's all my stuff I lose. I can tell you where every one of Mia's things are.
Forget about taking your time making a good healthy meal and if you do get to make a good home cooked meal then you're lucky if you actually get to eat it. Josh and I have worked out a system to help in this department though. On the nights that we do get a chance to cook. He makes dinner while I'm feeding Mia then by the time it's done Mia is ready to play in her exersaucer. One of us can usually finish our dinner before she starts complaining.
Housework becomes a week long adventure instead of a couple of hours on the weekend. Laundry is never finished! And mom and dad's laundry never seems to get done because baby always needs stuff washed first.
If you're feeling like a loser know that you're not alone and here are some great tips to make life a little easier. I'm gonna try them right away. http://www.babycenter.com/0_life-fixes-50-ways-moms-keep-it-together_3638614.bc?page=1
