DJay Erika Van Pelt was voted off American Idol last night. I was disappointed when she was in the company of Deandre and Heejun. I really wanted Heejun to go. Maybe America didn't like Erika's makeover as much as I did. Going from her long two toned blond and red hair to the short black was a good change in my opinion.

I think Tommy Hilfger's segment on the show is a complete waste of time. I understand that style is a big part of being the American Idol, but we see it on stage we don't need to see how they got the look. I like the work he does, but I really don't think it's worth the time it takes up on the show. I'd rather have that time to hear more from the mentors or the judges. Or even have longer interviews with the contestants. They're the ones I really care about.
