FX's American Horror Story was one of my guilty pleasures last year. I LOVED every second of it. If you are a horror fan or even like the horror genre a little bit and missed it you should order it up on Netflix or something. This was the most addictive show on television and I haven't seen anything more twisted since Nip Tuck was on.
If you did watch it you know that they ended the show in a way that they could've called it done and viewers would've been satisfied, but could easily lead us into a second season. Well, it has been confirmed that season 2 will return to FX in the fall. This time Jessica Lange's character will be the lead. How fun with this be?
There isn't much information being leaked about the new season. We do know that it won't revolve around ghosts and will not be set in the "murder house." Rumors have suggested a California dream home which was imediately shot down by the show's writers and an east coast asylum. The returning actors will come back in unspecified roles.
As of right now 4 of the actors from season 1 will join Jessica Lange (Constance-Neighbor) for the second go round, Evan Peters (Tate-Constance's son), Lily Rabe (Nora Montgomery-original owner of the murder house), Zachary Quinto (Chad Warwick-gay owner of the house), and Sarah Paulson (Billie Dean Howard-Psychic).
We are being told that the Harmons will not return in season 2. It will be fun to see this show go in a new direction, but I really loved it the way that it was. Though Josh and I often talked about how they'd bring it back for a second season and make it different. The creators are so brilliant no matter what they do I'm sure I'll love it. I can't wait!
