This is the point in the show when I actually start watching. American Idol has narrowed the talent pool down to the top 13.

Hollie Cavanaugh, Colton Dixon, Heejun Han, Jermaine Jones, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Shannon Magrane, Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez and Elise Testone were the singers with the most viewer votes after Tuesday and Wednesday's shows. 

The judges picked five out of the remaining 15 finalists to deliver a last chance performance. The judges chose Erika Van Pelt, Jeremy Rosando and Deandre Brackensick as their "wild card".

The contestants will return to the stage next Wednesday night.

The male singers will perform the music of Stevie Wonder and the girls will pay tribute to Whitney Houston.

Maybe the guys will pay tribute to Davy Jones and the Monkees in 2 weeks. That I would love to watch!!
