At Mia's 6 month appointment the doctor gave us a checklist of things that Mia should be able to do by 8 months. She can do most everything on the list already. Just in the last week she has done 2 more of the three things she needed to to complete the list. Putting her toes in her mouth was one of them. The one remaining item is putting two similar syllables together like ma-ma, na-na, da-da and so on.
It's so fun to watch her learn! It's really fun to have a checklist to test her progress too. The checklist helps us know what we should be working on with her too. We have been saying ma-ma and da-da to her over and over again. She copies us when we copy her yelling or growling so we figure we'll get her to copy us saying ma-ma and da-da eventually.
What was your baby's first word? When did your baby start saying Mama or Dada?
