My neighbor planted corn for the first time ever this year. All 8 years that we've lived in our house this has been an open field. This year our neighbor got himself a tractor and plowed the whole field. It's not a farm, just a small plot so there's no irrigation and these temperatures and lack of rain have done a number on the crops. His first attempt at corn has been trampled by mother nature. I feel bad for him and especiall for all the people who actually make a living on their crops. 

Luckily we have some rain in the forecast for today and overnight tonight.
