An Ohio teen opened fire on his classmates yesterday at Chardon High School, about 30 miles outside of Cleveland. One student was killed and four others were wounded.
Witnesses say the shooter went after a group of students in the school's cafeteria before he got chased out of the building by a teacher and caught by the cops about a half a mile away from the campus.
The FBI said the suspect was a "victim of bullying" and was considered an "outcast." The shooter’s dad had been arrested many times for violent crimes against women, including the teen’s mom.
Two of the male shooting victims are in critical condition, another male is in serious condition and one female is in stable condition.
The shooting was caught on surveillance video
The Chardon High School video surveillance system recorded yesterday’s shooting.
According to a source who watched the video, the student sat down by himself at a table in the cafeteria around 7:30 a.m. He reached into a bag and pulled out a .22-caliber handgun.
He walked around his table and stood behind a group of friends. The video shows him raising his gun and shooting. One boy was shot in the back, one was shot in the back of the head, and the other was shot numerous times.
The assistant football coach happened to be in the cafeteria, and chased the shooter out of the building. On his way out, he shot two more people. One of them died.
At one time, the gunman was friends with the kids he shot
A Chardon High School junior got shot in the ear during the shooting rampage at his school. His friends were the group of boys that the shooter targeted.
The teen said his group was friendly with the shooter through middle school, but in high school, the shooter went a separate way. One of the boys recently started dating the shooter’s ex-girlfriend.
Facebook message from the Ohio high school shooting suspect: ‘Die, all of you’

According to students, the teen who went on a shooting rampage at Chardon High School in Ohio is T.J. Lane. His Facebook page includes an essay describing a fantasy massacre that ends with the chilling words, “Die, all of you.”
Lane took to his Facebook page on Dec. 30 to post a rant about a “mistreated” man who takes revenge on the “selfish and conceited.”
The post reads: “He longed for only one thing, the world to bow at his feet. They too should feel his secret fear. The dismal drear. So, to the castle he proceeds, like an ominous breeze through the trees. ‘Stay back!’ The Guards screamed as they were thrown to their knees. ‘Oh God, have mercy, please!’”
