My little Miss Mia had her 9 month checkup yesterday. She was 26 3/4 inches and 17lbs 7oz. She's still in the 25th percentile. She seems like such a peanut compared to other babies we know. She's perfectly healthy though so the doctor says we should just keep doing what we're doing. 

After the brief checkup Mia needed to have her blood tested for anemia and lead. A girl I went to high school with, Laura, came in to do it! She was also the first person to draw Mia's blood after she was born. This blood draw was through a finger prick. When Laura pricked Mia's finger Mia just looked at her for a second then wailed! She cried and cried. She was sitting on Josh's lap and she looked at me with her beat red face and tears streaming down her cheeks like Mommy help me! She grabbed my shirt and pulled me toward her. I felt so bad that I couldn't just scoop her up and make it all better. I'm sure it was more painful to me than her. It was worse than any shots because it took longer. Poor little baby! 

As you can see in the picture I took of her last evening she recovered from the trauma just fine. She just needed a puppy fix. She sure loves those dogs of ours.
