My mom, my best friend, Felicia, and my sister-in-law, Katie, threw me a great baby shower over the weekend. It was held at my house and about 30 guests were able to attend. It downpoured right before the shower as we were decorating and putting together the food, but it cleared up just in time for the shower. Unfortunately the skies opened up again right as the shower was wrapping up. 

The shower was a lot of fun we played a word scramble game, finish the nursery rhyme game, baby bingo and the string game where people guess how big around I am and the person closest wins. 

I was very surprised that Josh joined me for gift opening. I was very happy that he did, but surprised because earlier he had told me he didn't want to do it and I didn't push it. We got lots of great stuff. TONS of bath stuff so we probably won't ever have to buy any. Lots of diaper rash ointment and loads of clothes. We were surprised we didn't get many blankets nor diapers. We got a few gift cards so we'll use those to buy diapers. We will also need to get a baby monitor and eventually a high chair. We got the travel system from my family so now we have a way to bring the baby home from the hospital when she's born, bonus. 

It was so nice to see a lot of people that I don't see often. My friend, Sarah Rae, from college, travelled over from River Falls to attend the shower which I thought was pretty awesome. And of course it's always great to see those friends that I do get to see on a regular basis because they're close. 

I had loads of fun. Thanks to everyone who attended and those who threw the shower too.
