We saw the doctor yesterday for our 36 week check up. My regular doctor, Dr. Keegan, has the best attitude. He's always upbeat, and yesterday he seemed as excited for us as we are. We're getting really close now. As part of the exam he felt the baby to make sure she's in the right position and as he did so he put his hand on her head and his other hand on her rump just over my belly button and told me he thinks she's about 7 pounds right now and head down. He asked us each what our birth weights were because that does factor into the size of our baby. Well, I was pretty average 7 pounds 2 ounces and Josh was tiny at just over 5 pounds. Dr. Keegan says he's guessing our baby will be on the big side of normal, which is around 8 pounds.

By Dr. Keegan's assessment this baby is ready to make her appearance any day now. I'm 1cm dialated and 50-60% effaced. As we were leaving the doc said, "We'll see you next week. Unless you have that baby before then." I was betting on her being late, but I'm starting to think Josh may be right we may have this baby early.
