Baby Proofing

baby proofJosh and I have a lot of baby proofing to do. We do not have a baby friendly house and everytime we have my nephews over or my God son over we are reminded of that fact. We realize that our baby won't be getting into anything for a while yet, but time flies and she'll be crawling before we know it.

I started thinking about all the things we'll have to do to baby proof. We won't be able to keep the scissors on the lower shelf of our coffee table anymore. I'm pretty sure that the giant blue wine bottle that I have in the living room as a decoration won't fly. All the picture frames and candles I have on the TV stand will have to go. The outlets will need to be covered. The corners of the TV stand, coffee table, and side tables will all have to have guards on them. The outlets need to be covered. All the doors need stoppers on them and the doors we don't want her to be able to open need to have child proof door knob covers. The drawers and cupboards need latches on them. All the dangerous cleaning supplies and alcohol need to be put up in high cupboards. Vitamins and medications need to be put up high. We need to turn our water heater down to 120 degrees. Install lid locks on the toilets. We need to block of the stairs with a baby gate. And we need to install Carbon Menoxide detectors on the main floor and in the basement of our home. Right now we only have one upstairs by the bedrooms.

I think that covers it. Is there anything else I've forgotten?
