Maternity clothes

materntiyAm I ready for maternity clothes? How do I buy them? Where do I go? How much stuff do I buy? To answer all of these questions I called my best friend and mother of 2 lovely boys. I'm now 15 weeks along and I still have 2 pairs of jeans that fit and a couple more that I can still button, but they're pretty uncomfortable. I have long sleeve tops and tank tops, but very few t-shirts that I can fit over my already a size bigger boobs. So I thought maybe it was time to go shopping, but I don't know if maternity clothes grow with you or if you need to continue to buy them as you get bigger. Well, my BF suggested the places to shop, though we only made it to one of them. She helped me pick out two t-shirts and one pair of capris. She told me that I need to allow room to grow, but plan to shop throughout my pregnancy. I had a good time shopping with her though I didn't buy much.

I now have my first official maternity outfit for spring/summer. How much more do I buy? I know I'm going to need at least one pair of jeans. But what style? There's low rise that just have an elastic waist band, mid rise that have a half spandex/cotton band, and then there's the full belly pants which are the ones that have the full belly coverage with the spandex/cotton band. I imagine the low rise ones will be as uncomfortable as my regular jeans are starting to become. Do the mid rise fall down? Are they comfortable? I know I'm not ready for the full belly jeans yet, but my friend told me I can just fold them down until I'm bigger.

Who would ever think that I'd be stressed out about shopping? And of all the things going on with me right now, pregnancy wise of course, why am I most stressed out about shopping?

Do you have or did you have a belly band? I saw this in the maternity section at the store yesterday. What is it and why do they call it a pregnancy necessity?
