testI made a very exciting announcement this morning, my husband and I are expecting a baby in November.

We had been trying for a while and were getting pretty frustrated. Once I turned 30 I really started to feel the pressure and with every, "So when are you guys having kids?" I grimaced. Finally in December we decided to try something else and my doctor referred us to a fertility clinic in Middleton.

We met with the doctor who explained to us that we were in the category "Unexplained Infertility." I felt better knowing that there was nothing wrong with either of us. The doctor explained all of our options in full detail and he talked to us about the costs of each of the treatments and explained how our chances would increase with each different treatment.

We decided to try fertility drugs for 6 months and we'd combine with insemination if that didn't work. The drugs were supposed to make drop 2 eggs in a month instead of one to increase our chances.

So we started the drugs in February and went to the fertility clinic for an internal ultrasound to see how my eggs looked. It turns out that the drugs didn't work exactly how they were supposed to. We were supposed to find 2 mature eggs, but only found one and one immature egg. So the doctor decided to up my dosage, but gave us our intercourse schedule anyway to take a shot at the one mature one.

We knew exactly when we'd be able to take our first preganancy test. When I took the first test I didn't tell Josh. I got one bright pink line and a faded pink line which according to the box means we're pregant! I ran down stairs and told Josh we need to buy another test. He wanted to run out that very night to get one. I told him I'd pick one up the next day. Josh was so excited that when the next day came he called me on his lunch break from the store asking me what kind he should get. When he got home he couldn't wait for me to pee on the stick! When I did Josh ran the timer and after 3 minutes there were two distinct pink lines!

We decided we were going to keep it to ourselves for a while, but I just couldn't I had to call my mom and dad so he had to call his. Our parents were so happy which made us even more happy!

No more visits to the fertility clinic. Now we see my regular doctor at Ministry Health Care St Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
