We had such fun for Mia's first Christmas. She's smiling now and focusing and interacting with people and toys now so it was really fun. We had her in my mom's bouncy chair yesterday and it has a bar that has toys hanging off of it, it sings and it has lights all the way around it and she loved it! She smiled and cooed for quite a long time. We really enjoyed watching her.

Mia really got spoiled. Lots of books, which we were very excited about, and lots of learning toys. Most of the stuff was 6 months and up, but there's no excuse to buy her stuff before she's 6 months. I am so excited for her to start using her new toys. Nana bought her a My Pal Violet which I think Daddy's going to have more fun with at first than Mia will. You program it to say and spell her name and you download songs to it. It's pretty cool.

We took Mia to church for the first time on Christmas Eve. We've been worried about taking her up to this point, because we don't want to have a screaming baby in church. She was really really good on Christmas Eve though so we may brave it this coming Sunday.

Over the holiday we also asked Josh's brother and my sister to be Mia's Godparents. They were both very honored and they both obviously accepted. We talked to Pastor Bohn at Trinity Lutheran in Port Edwards about doing the baptism, but we are having a difficult time scheduling it because my sister's weekend off doesn't match with Josh's brother. I'm hoping that we can work something out before I go back to work, but it's not looking good.

I hope you had a good holiday too. Happy New Year!

I'll be back to work January 17th. Boy how time flies.
