The baby is running out of room. Every time I try to bend over feel pressure on my ribs. I think she's pushing on them trying to tell me that I'm crowding her. Her movements are getting stronger now and I'm starting to be able to see her move. I can even feel her move from the bottom of my belly on the left side to the top of my belly on my right side. the majority of her body is on my right side. My belly is always lopsided and Josh thinks it's funny.
According to my fancy app the baby should be around 3 pounds now and 17 inches long. She probably won't get a whole lot longer, but she's going to plump up though doubling maybe even tripling her weight.
I was a pretty normal sized baby 7lbs 6oz and 21 inches long and Josh was a pretty small baby just over 5lbs and 19 inches long. Does anyone know if that is a clue as to the size our baby will be? Or is that decided simply by the way I eat?
Josh and I were both late too, does that mean our baby has a good chance of hanging out in there an extra week or two?
My app also told me that it's a good time to start keeping track of kick counts. I guess after a snack I'm supposed to sit or lie down and count how many times the baby moves in an hour. I'm supposed to do this twice per day and I should feel 10 movements in an hour's time. This might be a fun evening activity for me and Josh to do together. The good thing about her running out of room is that it makes her movements more obvious so kick counts will be much easier.
