Swollen feet

swollen footI was going to blog about the things you should never say to a pregnant woman like we talked about on the show today, but I changed my mind when I couldn't put my shoes on.

I took my shoes off in the studio today during the show and when I got up to put them back on again to head back to my desk after the show I couldn't get them all the way on because my feet were so swollen. Lee started making fun of me telling me that cankles are perfectly normal, ha ha ha. Which brings us back to the list of things you should never say to a pregnant woman. I'd say that ranks right up there with "Are you sure you're not having twins?" or "Wow! You're so big I can't believe you have X amount of time left" from this morning's list.

I usually walk at lunch, but today that was out of the question. I've been sitting at my desk for most of the day with my feet up hoping the swelling goes down and I can put my shoes on again to leave work today.

I sent my husband Josh the picture above and he first asked me if I'm okay, because he doesn't want to take any chances with preeclampsia, but I let him know nothing else is swollen so I'm fine. Then he said, "I guess you'll be supervising tonight while I move stuff around." We are moving a bunch of stuff out of our office and putting it on shelves in the garage and basement. I will be lazy this afternoon with my feet up until he gets home in hopes of the swelling goes down so I can help. I hate "supervising."
