Were you wondering where Season 7 American Idol winner David Cook was during the American Idol Finale on Wednesday night? According to his rep, Cook couldn't attend because he was previously booked for a charity event in Kansas City and didn't want to cancel.

You may have also noticed that last season's runner-up Adam Lambert was absent. Initial reports suggest that Lambert was booted from the show when he failed to show up for rehearsal, but he tweeted that he wasn't even asked to participate. I find that highly unlikely seeing the former American Idol contestants that were in attendance that night. He also said that he was suffering from a "throat bug" and wanted to rest his voice for his upcoming tour.
