Today I'm thinking about the American Idol 2 night finale. In preparation for Simon's last show he will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this afternoon.

When Ellen asked if Simon was sad about leaving he answered, "I am feeling a bit sad now because we're nearly there, but at the same time do you remember the last sort of three weeks when you were leaving school and you kind of couldn't wait to get out? It's a little bit like that."

Tonight the Idol finalists Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox will perform 3 songs, 1 producer's pick, 1 contestant choice, and finally the winner's song (the song specifically written for the winner to record as their first single). America votes for the final time tonight and our Season 9 American Idol is crowned tomorrow on Fox during Simon Cowell's final episode.
