Today I'm thinking about Paula Abdul's return to TV.
Upon leaving American Idol after 8 seasons Paula Abdul tweeted that she would, "miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon." Good news! She'll be back at it with a brand new show.
Paula Abdul will be the executive producer and judge on another British original reality show to hit US airwaves called "Got To Dance." The show will air on CBS and will compete directly with American Idol's next season.
In my opinion this is exactly the type of show that she should be judging with her extensive dance background. I know that the Executive Producer of "So You Think You Can Dance" wanted Paula to be a judge on that show, but I suppose being offered the Executive Producer gig on this new show plus a judge sounded a whole lot better to her.
I wonder who else will be judging "Got To Dance." I love dance shows so I'm sure I'll DVR it so I can check it out.
If you can't wait for Paula's new show to see her she'll be on Idol this Wednesday night to help send Simon off.
Speaking of sending Simon off. The producers have said they will not name his replacement until after this season is over. Access Hollywood reports that Elton John was offered the seat for $33 million and turned it down!
