Today I'm thinking about American Idol. There are so many good girls I can't even vote!
Crystal Bowersox kicked off the night after being in the hospital from complications from Diabetes the day before and she rocked the house and wowed the judges. I'm loving her bluesy, Americana style.
Didi Benami is still one of my favorites however last night I don't think she was quite as good as last week, but I think she's safe. She has such an interesting voice I love it.
Katelyn Epperly put Ellen to sleep with her super slow version of a Cold Play song. She has a great voice, but her performance was just not up to par.
Katie Stevens has such a range, but she didn't work it out enough last night to impress the judges though she did do a nice job on her song.
I love Lacey Brown's look she's got such a unique beauty and such a great bubbly smiley personality I want to see her go far, but I just don't think she's got what it takes. She chose a good song last night, but still couldn't impress the judges.
Lilly Scott is unbelievable! She's got a great voice, she's a great performer and she has a unique style. I think she'll go pretty far.
Michelle Delamor made a vast improvement over last week. She's still not one of my favorites, but she has a good voice.
Paige Miles has an amazing voice and the Kelly Clarkson song she did last night was great, but Kara didn't think that she understood the meaning of the song so didn't appreciate the performance. I guess Kara did write the song so she'd know. Paige has some mileage left in her.
Siobhan Magnus, Simon calls her a strange little thing. She sang a really big song "Think" by Aretha Franklin. Ellen said she was worried when she first saw that she was taking on such a big song and said that people would've probably advised her against doing it, but "people didn't think blankets should have sleeves and look at th snuggie, it's huge!" Siobhan did a great job.
Haeley Vaughn is on her way out. She's so smiley and cute and young and I love that about her, but she just doesn't have the chops to hack it. Check out the clip below of her singing Miley Cyrus' "The Climb".
Tonight 2 girls and 2 guys will be saying their goodbyes. Danny Gokey will be back on the Idol stage to perform "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me". Danny's advise to the contestants, "Just remain steady. Remain calm and collected." He adds, "I mean, I think nerves are the biggest thing they're going to deal with on the show."
