3/3/10
Today I'm thinking about how much the guys improved from last week to this week. Let me just say my favorites changed after last night's performances. I was on the Casey James bandwagon, he still did well last night, but just not as well as my two new favs. I also really liked Andrew Garcia, but he just hasn't lived up to that moment he sang Paula Abdul's Straight Up. My two new favorite guys are Michael Lynche who sang "This is a Man's World" by James Brown (listen below) and Lee Dewyze who sang "Lips of An Angel" by Hinder.
The guys were originally supposed to perform tonight, but one of the girls, Crystal Bowersox was taken to the hospital yesterday morning and was unable to perform so they had to switch the girls' night and the guys' night, but it didn't phase them at all. They really did well this week. I still think the girls are better, but the guys are improving quickly. We'll see how far the girls have come tonight at 7 on Fox for a two hour episode. Then tune in Thursday to find out who has to say goodbye.
Not all the guys impressed me last night though. I was not at all impressed by the performances of Jermaine Sellers (though I love that he "Rocks the onesie") and Todrick Hall. I think they are both in danger of going home and unfortunately I think Andrew Garcia may be in trouble this week. I sure hope I wrong on that one because I think he has potential.
Alex Lambert and Tim Urban earned the most improved players award since last week. Casey James is still hangin in there I think he'll make it to the middle somewhere. Kara Casey's biggest fan even said, "Tonight I gotta say you took two steps backwards." OUCH! That had to hurt.
Your keyword this morning is "Girls" 250pts. Tune in tonight to see the girls perform on American Idol.
