Today I'm thinking about how "The Office" could possibly survive without Steve Carell.

Steve Carell plays the silly and over enthusiastic boss Michael Scott at Dunder Mifflin in "The Office." Carell has announced that he will be leaving "The Office" when his contract is up at the end of the 2010-2011 season. Carell says the hit NBC show will go on without him, adding that, this could be a positive change for the show. 

He was clear that his decision to leave the show had nothing to do with money. He said, "[This might] add some new life and some new energy to the show. I certainly didn't anticipate any hubbub over it. I didn't see it as a huge deal."
