6/22/10
Today I'm thinking about convincing my sister to audition for American Idol. She is a really good singer and I'm not just one of those people to tells her that out of love she really is a good singer.
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest teased the Fox audition announcement on June 20th on his official Twitter, writing, "Just got audition cities for @americanidol 10: Nashville, Milwaukee, New Orleans, E. Rutherford, Austin & S.F. Tmrw announcing a big change!"
Fox announced yesterday that tryouts for season 10 will begin on Saturday, July 17th in Nashville, TN and will hit Milwaukee on Wednesday, July 21st, New Orleans, LA July 26th, East Rutherford, NJ August 3rd, Austin, TX August 11th and Sand Francisco, CA August 19th. This year in an attempt to expand the talent pool they've decided to do Myspace auditions and lower the age limit to 15 (it used to be 16. Maximum age remains 28).
If my sister does decide to audition in Milwaukee at the Bradley Center I'm going with her and I'll broadcast live from what I can only imagine will be a complete zoo.
In case you're interested in auditioning, I tried looking up the rules and regulations today, but only found the audition information for the Nashville auditions which is the first stop on the audition tour. From this information I did learn that people are not allowed to camp out on the premises and must have a wristband to audition. Wristbands are distributed beginning at 7am two days prior to auditions through 8am on audition day and auditions begin at 5am.
You could be the next American Idol!
