Today I'm thinking about how much I love Jennifer Love Hewitt.
I have always been a fan of hers ever since she was the cutest little thing on "Kids Incorporated." She grew up in the limelight and she didn't turn out to be a messed up child star and I love that about her. She has grown up facing a lot of judgement that could tear a person down, but she has really stepped up and proven that child stars can overcome the media and become successful logical adults.
Celebrities are under so much pressure to be thin and that creates intense pressure for the average Jane to want to be thin and it leads to unhealthy consequences in a lot of people. Jennifer Love Hewitt is urging young women not to obsess about weight because it's simply not worth it. "When I meet young girls, I'm always like, 'Just do me a favor,'" she tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "Love what you look like right now- and remember I said it 10 years form now because its the greatest gift I can give." Having already witnessed first hand how tough it can be to love your own figure- the 31 yr old spoke out against critics in December of 2007 when unflattering photos of her on the beach surfaced she says she focused on getting a mind makeover. Once she got over the embarrassment of the pictures she focused on getting healthy not getting skinny.
