Today I'm thinking about the future of "American Idol" after the departure of the most famous judge Simon Cowell. 

Former "American Idol" judge, Paula Abdul made an appearance at the Tony Awards this past weekend, when asked about Idol's future she was optimistic. "I don't see an end to Idol, I see that there will be many changes," said Abdul. "I tell people don't use the word 'replacement' because you can't replace Simon."

Simon Cowell will return to TV next year with his new show "X Factor" while Paula's new show "Got To Dance" will run opposite "American Idol."
