Today I'm thinking about how sad I am that Alex Wong is no longer able to compete on So You Think You Can Dance. 

Alex was my favorite dancer on the show. He left his job in the Miami City Ballet to compete on So You Think You Can Dance even after he was told that his place would not be waiting for him when he returned. He joined the show as an amazing ballet dancer, but seeing him compete in all the other forms of dance you wouldn't know that he was trained specifically in ballet. He was for sure the front runner in the competition.

In rehearsals on Tuesday Alex suffered an injury which kept him from competing Wednesday night. Fox 7 News out of Miami did a great story Wednesday night on Alex's injury click here to see it http://www.wsvn.com/video/category/entertainment/.

In my opinion with Alex removed from the competition Lauren just jumped up into the top spot. 

I hope Alex can return to the show next year.
