Twilight Saga: Eclipse opened in theaters with a midnight showing on Wednesday that raked in an astonishing $68.5 million! That's a new record fro first-day boxoffice on a Wednesday. Our intern Anna attended the midnight showing at Cedar Creek Cinemas and was the lucky purchaser of the last tickets! She told us that they had the movie playing in 5 cinemas and the staff was dressed as characters from the movie. One staff member told her that this was the biggest opening they've ever had at the Cedar Creek theater.

This weekend while Twi-hards are swooning over sexy vampire Edward and the extra hot werewolf Jacob they could find themselves in the company of an actual Eclipse star! Peter Facinelli, who plays Cullen family Patriarch Dr. Carlisle Cullen, says that he and several costars plan to visit theaters on Friday to experience the Twilight mania with fans. "What I love about the Twilight community is that is' such a powerful thing when people come together for a common cause," Facinelli told PEOPLE. "I'm a fan of the book too, so when you all come together for the love of one thing, it's a really special feeling."

When you're a superstar it's hard to blend in. Super hot 18 year old Taylor Lautner, Jacob Black, hasn't let the superstardom go to his head though. He still lives at home with his parents and he still his to do his chores. He says he wants to keep his home life normal for "as long as possible." He says, "I help out with the lawn, garbage, dishes. When I come back, I have extra mowing to do. It's very important to me. I describe it as I live two different lives. I have this life and do what I love to do, but I also have the same exact life as before and nothing has changed." (Teen Hollywood)

Other Twilight stars who have said many times that the fame drives them crazy because they miss having normal lives are rumored couple Kristen Stewart, Bella Swan in the mega popular franchise and Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen. They haven't come out and confirmed the dating rumors themselves and recent rumors even hinted that the two broke up, a Twilight producer pretty much confirmed that they are in fact a couple. Twilight producer, Wyck Godfrey said yesterday that he hopes Kristen and Robert "stay together," because filming Breaking Dawn would be "awkward" if they didn't. "The thing I...think about is, 'Oh my God, I hope they stay together'," said Godfrey. "Because it could be awkward on set in the next movie if they have a huge falling out. It's like, wow, they have to portray this love story through two more movies. God I hope they stay together; please stay together."

We learned from an interview with the screen writer for Breaking Dawn that the next Twilight movie will contain some pretty hot and heavy sex scenes so you can see why Godfrey would be worried about awkwardness.
