If you're a newbie at the gym trying to get healthier in the new year per your new years resolution I respect that, but please keep these tips in mind to keep from annoying us regulars:
- Mind the 30 minute rule. 30 minutes max on any one machine. If you're not done with it in that 30 minutes just step off and let someone else use it and come back to it or try a different machine.
- Clean the machines when you are finished with them. The disinfectant spray bottles are everywhere in the gym.
- Set up an appointment with a trainer (free with your YMCA membership) to learn how to use the equipment properly. If you don't know how to use them you'll hurt yourself and you won't go back.
- Don't wear your gym shoes outside!
