Today I'm thinking about eating my words. For weeks I've been saying that Tim Urban needs to go home. I've been saying he can't sing and people only vote for him because he's cute (which he is).

Last night on American Idol Tim Urban sounded great! (check out the clip below) I actually voted for him for the first time this season! He usually gets torn apart by the judges, but last night he was praised by all of them. Ellen compared him to tequila, "Ya know Tim, the first time I took a shot of tequila I didn't know if I'd like it or not. Then I took another, and then I took another, then I took another and I really enjoyed it. That's how I feel about you." Ellen makes some of the strangest comments.

Though I liked Tim's performance very much my favorite performance of the night came from Lee DeWyze again. He's got such a great voice.

Crystal Bowersox was awesome again, but that's no surprise to me.

Casey James was solid, nothing fancy about his performance, but his vocals were good.

I'm so glad the judges saved Big Mike Lynche last week because he did a hauntingly beautiful version of "In The Ghetto" for Elvis night.

Siobhan Magnus just doesn't do it for me. I agree with the judges when they said her performance was confusing. 

Aaron Kelley wasn't good last night. Last night's mentor Adam Lambert was impressed by Aaron's vocal ability, but pushed him out of his comfort zone and I think that hurt his performance because he just didn't believe in it.

Andrew Garcia is really struggling. I really liked him at first, but he's been trying so hard to get back to that "Straight Up" performance that it's dragging him down. 

Two people need to go home tonight and I think it will be Andrew and Aaron, but a lot of people like Aaron because he's young so I may be wrong. I think Andrew for sure though. America does surprise me. We'll find out tonight on Fox.
