Last night, Keith Urban and John Mayer taped an upcoming invitation-only episode of CMT Crossroads at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee. The event kicked off CMT’s 10th anniversary of Crossroads and several celebrities were in the audience including Taylor Swift, Kix Brooks and Jake Owen. The show opened with Keith and John paired for "If Ever I Could Love," and they followed
it up with quite a display of guitar skills with "If Summer Comes Around." In fact, having two guitar virtuosos performing together provided for numerous incredible guitar jam sessions.
After hearing Keith’s guitar playing,Mayer quipped, "You’re not just a pretty face." Other Urban tunes included "Tonight I Want To Cry" and "Sweet Thing." They guys were cracking jokes when the makeup artists were called to the stage to powder their sweaty faces. One time they started playing the Pink Panther theme to entertain the crowd.
Mayer’s set with Urban featured his songs "Perfectly Lonely" and "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room," which he called the "sister song to '’Til Summer Comes Round.’" The guys also had fun with "Say" and really brought the house down with "Gravity." For their finale, John and Keith performed a stellar rendition of George Michael’s "Faith." So far, no air date has been set for the episode.
