While Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher look forward to their impending nuptials so are Fisher's parents, Jim and Karen. Jim tells Canada's Peterborough Examiner, "Both Karen and I were quite excited [about the engagement]. We're very happy for them." Mike's dad adds that he and his wife have "gotten to know [Carrie] quite well over the last year" and call Underwood "a great girl." As far as wedding plans, the couple and the Fishers are keeping mum. Jim says, "They're staying pretty private… They haven't gone into a lot of detail."
