Carrie's Nashville publicist commented, "I'm happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn't be happier. No wedding date has been set at this time." While Carrie herself has yet to comment on the big news, but her new fiancé did. Fisher told the Toronto Sun, "It's true. We're both obviously excited and very happy." People reports that Mike proposed to Underwood at his home Sunday afternoon and then sent messages to his friends with the good news later that day. Carrie did profess her love for Fisher in the album notes on her latest album, Play On. She wrote, "I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.

Love isn't Carrie's only success this week as Billboard announces that her album "Some Hearts" is the top country album of the decade and acknowledging that her hit "Before He Cheats" is the only female song in the Top 20 Hot Country songs of the decade.
