CMT reports that Dolly Parton's handwritten lyrics to "I Will Always Love You" fetched $7,150 at a charity auction this week in Nashville. In addition, Willie Nelson's handwritten lyrics to "On the Road Again" brought in $3,510 and Kix Brooks' "Red Dirt Road" garnered $1,060. The online auction offered donated lyric sheets from dozens of notable singer-songwriters. About 30 grand was raised to benefit the Americana Music Association.
