Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry died Thursday morning, according to an Associated Press report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He had been fighting for his life after falling out of the back of a pickup truck during what police called a domestic dispute with fiancée Loleini Tonga on Wednesday.

The accident happened just before noon in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to the Kentucky Post. Police say Henry died at 6:36 a.m. Thursday. He was 26.
