Dierks Bentley has enjoyed a great 2009 touring with Brad Paisley, hitting the top of the country charts and releasing a new album. But, according to Dierks, this year has been his best so far, not because of his accomplishments, but due to his one-year-old daughter named Evie. Dierks said recently ""All those songs... Trace Adkins' 'You're Gonna Miss This,' Darius Rucker's 'It Won't Be Like This For Long,' yeah, all those songs take on a little bit different meaning when you actually have a kid. They're great songs before you have a kid and then you have one and you're like, 'Man, you ain't kidding.' I can't believe a year has gone by... But it's been the best year of my life. [My] daughter is amazing everyday - especially at this point - something new is going on: new sounds, new things, she's learned a new trick, a new skill, and so it's been incredible. And I look forward to seeing what the next year brings... Yeah, it's been an awesome ride."
