GARTH BROOKS and TRISHA YEARWOOD had planned a romantic dinner for their fourth wedding anniversary last week, but due to parental commitments, they ended up dining on McDonald's fries instead. Garth says, quote, "We had a big night planned and at the last minute they moved the youngest one's Christmas carol program to that night." Garth launched his extended engagment of one man shows at the Wynn in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Garth explained it this way: "I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW THIS BUT SHE GOT MARRIED TO THE CHILDREN, TOO.  THEY EXCHANGED RINGS.  SO ALL FIVE OF US HAD A BIG NIGHT PLANNED AND AT THE VERY LAST MINUTE, THEY MOVED THE YOUNGEST ONE'S CHRISTMAS CAROL PROGRAM TO THAT NIGHT.  SO LAST NIGHT WE WERE AT THE CHRISTMAS CAROL PROGRAM AND I PROMISED THEM A BIG FANCY DINNER SO WE, UH, WE WENT BY AND GRABBED MCDONALD'S FRIES AND WENT HOME.  AND THAT WAS OUR, THAT WAS OUR ANNIVERSARY DINNER BETWEEN ALL FIVE OF US AND WE'LL DO SOMETHIN', UM, THIS YEAR WHERE WE'LL EXCHANGE GIFTS."
