Dear Lauri: I dreamed I was looking in the mirror and saw something sticking out of the middle of my forehead.  It looked like a small blade of grass.  I proceeded to pick at it and when I did, a small piece of my forehead came out, as if it were a piece of turf, leaving an uneven hole.  I was frantic! I tried to pull out another piece to even it up, and another piece fell out.  It seemed the more I tried to stop it or hold it in place, the more material came loose.  – Dani 62, Cleveland, OH

Lauri: Your head represents your intellect and your forehead is the place of your intuition and foresight, so this dream is all about what is going on in your head and what you know - deep down - needs to be done.  And since there is a hole there, you must be going against your intuition. You have two references to grass in this dream, which means there is probably some issue you have the foresight to "cut short" and remove from your life.  The uneven hole is connected to something you feel is uneven in your life.  A relationship perhaps?  It is beginning to take a lot out of you as indicated by the pieces of forehead falling out.  Notice how you are trying to hold it in place. Your dream is showing you that the more you try to make this situation work, the worse it is going to get.

Dani replies: WOW! Now I know what this dream was about!  I've had a long friendship that seems to be changing.  In the last few months, I've been the one calling to keep in touch, setting up things to do and places to meet.  The friendship has started to feel very one-sided.  I enjoy her company, but I feel if she was interested in continuing our friendship, she would be instigating some of the calls and meetings also.  I'm sorry I feel our friendship is ending, but I believe people come and go in our lives for a reason, and when its "time" they move on.
