Last night, Timothy Michael Poe was eliminated from America's Got Talent.

If you’ve been following this season’s show, you may recall Poe’s inspiring tale of being injured in combat causing his alleged speech impediment. After further investigation into his background, there are no military records to prove his story. A photograph Poe claimed was him overseas turns out to be another soldier, someone he never met.

Viewers quickly turned on Poe after it was discovered he lied about his past. The judges have since cut him from the competition after what they felt was a below average rendition of George Strait’s “The Chair”.
