Actor (and former Army soldier) J.R. Martinez won the mirror ball trophy on “Dancing With the Stars”.

The top three were Ricki Lake, Martinez and Rob Kardashian, and Lake was leading the pack when the scores from the first round of tonight’s performances – where the stars had to reprise their favorite dances of the season — were combined with last night’s totals and votes from the viewing audience.  Lake took third place.

The final two – Kardashian and Martinez — performed an instant samba to music that was selected for them during the show. They both earned perfect scores of 30 points, and Kardashian led Martinez by the slimmest of leads — with 113 points to 112 after four rounds of dancing in the two-night finale.

Last night’s show included musical performances by Lady Antebellum and dances by all the celebrities who have been voted off this season.
