Christmas came early for one Oklahoma military family when a giant, wrapped present was delivered to their front door all the way from Afghanistan. Hiding inside was Sgt Jamee Gaines who jumped out to surprise her husband Kevin and their three children.
Sgt Gaines from Okmulgee has spent the last six months deployed in Afghanistan with the Oklahoma National Guard.
When she found out that she would have two weeks leave she got in touch with the town’s Calvary Baptist Church to coordinate a surprise.
The church came to the family’s home on Monday to spread the Christmas spirit with food, Christmas carols and gifts.
The biggest gift was the one that contained the biggest surprise of all.
