A few years ago, a friend of ours was telling us about their "elf" that comes around Christmas time. So of course I need to know more. It turns out you can purchase a little kit, called The Elf on The Shelf. It comes with a book and the little elf. The book explains what he does, which is reports to Santa. So you have to behave so that every night when he goes to the North Pole and reports to Santa, he has good things to say about you!  Every morning when he comes back from the North Pole he hides in a different place somewhere in the house, so the kids run down every morning to see who can be the first to find him! It is a great tradition in our house and quite a few friends of ours are doing it too. Sometimes, he even causes problems, like this morning he knocked something over trying to find a spot to hide! So if you are looking for a tradition for your family, or maybe for grand kids or any one really!! The Elf on The Shelf is a great one!!!!
