Suzi LeVine, US Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, became the first Ambassador to be sworn in on a Kindle. This dive into the future happened earlier today. With print copies of books on the decline I guess it makes sense, but it seems weird to say someone was sworn in on a device that was probably used to post to Facebook moments earlier.
Though it was the first time an Ambassador was sworn in on a mobile device it wasn't the first time it ever happened. A group of firefighters in New Jersey were sworn in on a iPad when no one could find a print copy of the Bible.
