Here's a fun easy way to make ice cream with your kids. Mia and I made it and she had a lot of fun. It's low fat and it's really yummy too.
What you'll need:
16oz tub non-fat whipped cream
1 14oz can of fat free sweetened condensed milk
1 can of Diet Sprite
1 box of funfetti cake mix
What you'll do:
Pour the cake mix into a large mixing bowl and add Sprite instead of all the other things the box calls for. (You could make it the way the box instructs too if you'd rather) Then bake cake according to package directions in a 13x9 inch pan.
When the cake is done baking let it cool. In the meantime, in another large bowl mix whipped cream and condensed milk together until well blended.
Once cake is cool to the touch crumble up about a quarter to a 3rd of it and add the crumbled cake to the whipped cream and condensed milk mix.
Put your concoction into a large container with a lid and let it freeze overnight.
*Use the remaining cake for cake pops or cake balls. Crumble the cake and mix in a 2/3 container of frosting. Roll into balls. I always put them in the freezer for a little while so they're easier to handle when dipping. Melt chocolate and pour over the top or dip the balls into the chocolate to coat.
