DARIUS RUCKER: True Believers Marks 3rd Consecutive #1

Double congrats go out to Darius Rucker! This week, he scores both the nation’s top-selling country album -- True Believers -- and the number-one single on the Mediabase chart with “Wagon Wheel.” According to the latest Soundscan data, the 12-track collection sold 83,000 copies its first week out. George Strait’s Love Is Everythingfollows at number-two, while Lady Antebellum’s Golden is number-three. Blake Shelton's Based on a True Story and Florida Georgia Line’s Here’s to the Good Timesround out the Top 5.

Darius is in the middle of the True Believers tour with special guests Rodney Atkins,Justin Moore and Jana Kramer on various dates. Rodney, Sheryl Crow and Gloriana join the tour for one night only on June 14th at Buffalo, New York’s Coca-Cola Field. 

The tour hits Greensboro, North Carolina tomorrow (Thursday). Darius will be in Nashville next week for the CMA Music Festival. Monday’s schedule includes a volunteer event at a Nashville school and the sold-out Darius and Friends benefit, which supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He performs “Wagon Wheel” on ABC’s Good Morning America and the CMT Music Awards next Wednesday, and hits The Ellen DeGeneres Showon June 11th.
