Wrap bacon around chicken chunk and secure with toothpick. In a bowl mix 3/4 c. Brown sugar and 2 Tbsp. Chili powder. Then coat chicken with mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 min or until bacon crisp and they look caramelized. Delicious!!

There is a Warrior Dash in Southern WI which is a Military style race and people travel from all over to compete in it. The Dash is to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Rothschild resident, Greg Cemke, not only competed at the young age of 58, but he raised a huge amount of money for St. Jude! His efforts have earned him an all expense paid trip to Australia to compete in a Warrior race there. Check out the story in the Wausau Daily Herald.

  • Team Ingram St Jude

    Posted by Nikki Montgomery

Team IngramTeam Ingram is made up of St. Jude patient Ingram's two sisters, mom and dad. Mom and dad participated in the St. Jude marathon before Ingram was ever a patient there. After Ingram got sick the daughters wanted to join mom and dad, and decided to start fundraising all on their own. In doing so they raised over $200,000!

They spoke to us as part of the Meet the Patients panel during the St. Jude Radio Seminar on 1/19/2013.

Ingram now has no hair and proudly wore his cowboy hat in front of all of his radio friends.

Check out this amazing video that Team Ingram put together to share their story and encourage everyone to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This is why you need to become a Partner In Hope! Our radiothon is February 21st and 22nd at Trigs in Wausau. During the radiothon you can call in to become a Partner In Hope by making a monthly pledge on your credit card. Or you can visit our St. Jude page now and become a Partner in Hope online. http://wdez.com/st-jude/

Your monthly gift won't seem like much to you, but it gives kids like Ingram a chance to grow up. And that means more than words can express to his big sisters and the rest of Ingram's family.

  • More tragedy for Mindy McCready

This country star has been through more misery than any one person deserves. I hope she can cope with this tragedy without going off the deep end like she tends to do.

  • Out with the old in with the New Monopoly Tokens

    monopoly

Hasbro is sending one of it's Monopoly tokens into retirement and you get to choose which one. Each of the game pieces was a representation of a common or household item from the 1930s when the game was created. The makers of the game feel that they are outdated and should be replaced with more modern pieces. The potential new pieces include a robot, daimond ring, helicopter, cat and guitar. Which one original piece would you choose to retire? Which one piece would you choose to replace it?

  • Snowmobile trail conditions

    Posted by Nikki Montgomery

Many snowmobile trails across the state are open some are in good condition and others in poor condition I don't think any are in excellent condidtion yet though.

Some Marathon County trails opened on New Years Eve. The northeast zone includes trails north of Hwy 29 and east of I-39. Even though the trails are open they are in poor to fair condition so ride with caution.

For updates on Marathon County trails, people may call the 24-hour snow condition hotline at 1-888-575-7669 or check the county’swebsite at www.co.marathon.wi.us.

Wood County snowmobile trail information can be found at http://www.co.wood.wi.us/Departments/Parks/Snowmobiling.aspx. As of right now only Kellner area trails are open.

If you have any other information on snowmobile conditions and open trails please comment below
