  • Why You Are Never Failing As A Mother

    Posted by Addi Scott

This time of year is always very difficult for me. I feel like the kids get not enough presents, or too many presents. We see family but not all of them, but yet sometimes it seems like we still have too many places to go and that we don't get enough holiday time with just the 5 of us. We try to do random acts of kindness, baked goods, craft projects for the grandparents, all that on top of the day to day stuff, which just seems to be more overwhelming this time of year. A friend of mine on Facebook reposted this blog today, and it was just what I needed to remind me that ALL moms struggle to be the best.

I wanted to share it because it was a good reminder. This is what is important, not all the rest of it.

    Check out the blog here.

  • Which is better... Cats or Dogs?

    Posted by Bryan Scott

Now that we have settled in to our home.  We have been thinking about getting a pet.  We have a debate going on in our house as to get a dog or cat.  I am a dog man.  I don't really like cats, they kind of scare me.  Every cat I've ever met gives me that look like they are smarter than me.  After watching this video, I can see why I am a dog man!!!

  • Ever wonder why men are bad at wrapping presents?

    Posted by Bryan Scott

It's because we only spend about 60 seconds wrapping each gift.  Afterall, it's about what's inside that counts, right?  Women, on the other hand, spend at least 3 minutes per gift.

If you are wondering, here is the proper way to wrap a gift...

Here is how men like to Christmas rap...

  • A Chip Off The Old Block!

    Posted by Bryan Scott

Will was asked to make the following project in school.  He was told to cut out items he would like to enjoy for his favorite holiday meal...

Pizza, Potato Chips, Olives, Mashed Potatoes and BEER?!?  I'm hoping the 12 pack of Miller High Life was just a bad cutting job.  Otherwise we could have our hands full with this child :)

  • It's that time of year again...

Am I the only guy who will not climb on the roof to hang lights?  I mean, come on, it's pretty high up there.  Addi volunteers to hang the lights every year because she knows that I won't.

However, she gives me crap about it for the entire year because she's more of a "man" than I am when it comes to haniging the lights.  The way I look at it, we both have a better chance of surviving if SHE falls and I catch her, rather than ME falling and HER catching me!  Right?!

By the way... She did a pretty good job, didn't she?

Dang!  I really need to clean my garage.  Hmmm... maybe I'll have her do it ;)

  • Best Christmas gift EVER!!!!

    Posted by Bryan Scott

To this day, we've tried to find a gift better that the one Will got when he was one.  To this day, we pull that same card out on Christmas and he still gets a kick out of it!!!

  • How many kids do you see here?

    Posted by Bryan Scott

What a great night for Trick-or-Treating!  The kids had a blast.  Will was a monkey, Emma a dirt bike racer and Jack (who you probably can't see in this picture, but believe me he's there)!  Just scroll your mouse over the picture to see him.

  • Can someone tell me what this is?

    Posted by Bryan Scott

Emma, Jack and Will were totally confused by this thing they found on the table.  The conversation went like this...

Jack: Hey Dad, is this some sort of computer?

    Me:  Nope, it's a calculator.

Emma:  No it's not, a calculator can fit in your hand!?

Me:  Nope, sorry guys it's a calculator!

    Jack:  Are you sure?

Will: Move over Jack.  I wanna see it!!!

Seriously!?  I'm glad we didn't have my old Commodore 64 sitting out there!!!

For those of you who don't know what a Commodore 64 is, it looks like this...

  • Spooky!

    Posted by Bryan Scott

Thank you to everyone at Key to Life Childcare and Community Center in Weston for letting us be part of Trunk or Treat.  Over 800 kids came trick or treating this year!

My daughter, Emma, helped hand out candy from the trunk of the WDEZ truck.

Jack and Will took turns jumping out of the back window trying to scare the Trunk-or-Treaters...

Not sure how scary they were, but they sure were cute!

  • Now Blake Shelton caught on camera kissing (more than once)!!!

    Posted by Bryan Scott

Mark Chesnutt got a big surprise from Blake Shelton while the two of them attended an event on Saturday. While Chesnutt was talking to a reporter, Shelton strolled up to him and kissed him.  After Blake had walked away, Mark said, "It's fine, now that he's married to Miranda," then he joked saying, "Course, she probably don't kiss him."

I had no idea that Blake Shelton is such a good kisser, but I found out first hand ... on national TV!!!!

Granted, I may have asked for it.  I did peform a dance for him on his bachellor party!  LOL  Fast forward to the 3:30 mark!
